Registration Information

Registration for the 2011-12 academic year is open until February 17, 2012. Principals and Guidance Counsellors will find links below for accessing registration information and the appropriate registration forms for your students.

Registration in eLearning courses is open for students who meet the eligibility requirements for publicly funded secondary education in Ontario, in accordance with Ministry of Education e-Learning policies.

Please choose the appropriate choice from the list below:

  1. The student is a resident of Ontario enroled at a secondary school in the Avon Maitland District School Board
    If you are a student in the Avon Maitland District School Board, please go to the Student Services Department at your school. Student Services personnel will complete the AMDEC registration with you.

  2. The student is a resident of Ontario enroled at a publicly-funded Ontario secondary school outside of the Avon Maitland District School Board
    Please go to the Student Services Department at your enroling local secondary school, to request approval for and assistance with registration.

  3. The student is a resident of Ontario, eligible for publicly funded education, attending an Ontario Private school.
    Please go to the Student Services Department at your private school to request approval for and assistance with registration.

  4. The student is residing in Ontario and is not attending a publicly funded school.
    Please contact your local publicly funded Ontario secondary school to discuss registration of the student with that school for the purposes of taking courses with AMDEC. If you experience difficulties with this registration process, please contact AMDEC guidance at guidance@amdec.ca, or 519-348-4785, ext. 303.

  5. The student is the son/daughter of a member of the Canadian Armed Forces stationed outside of Ontario
    This form is a fillable Word document. Download the file, open it in Word, save it with an appropriate name and type in the information fields provided. Once you have completed the form, print it out to sign, and return to the appropriate Support Unit Education Clerk with the DND. Your Support Unit Education Clerk will return approved and signed registration forms to the AMDEC office.

Please note:
Registrations will be accepted until February 17, 2012. All required paperwork must be submitted before 4:00 p.m. on February 22, 2012.  Successful registration includes the receipt of all necessary documentation by our office.

Students may apply to a full course in order to be placed on a waiting list (with the understanding that they will only be registered in the course if a seat becomes available before February 17, 2012). A list of courses that are currently full is available here.
